We are pleased to announce that MUNI KYOTO has been awarded “One MICHELIN Key” in the MICHELIN Guide’s new “MICHELIN Key” distinction, which recognizes unique and attractive accommodations in Japan with a three-key rating system, announced on July 4, 2024 (Thursday).

■ The MICHELIN Key: A New Evaluation Indicator for Accommodations

Michelin announced the first-ever MICHELIN Key hotels in France, the United States, Spain, and Italy starting this April. This time, the first MICHELIN Key hotels in Japan were announced, making it the first country in Asia to have this distinction. Out of 243 hotels listed in the MICHELIN Guide Hotel Selection in Japan (as of July 1), a total of 108 MICHELIN Key hotels have been awarded: 6 with Three MICHELIN Keys, 17 with Two MICHELIN Keys, and 85 with One MICHELIN Key.
