Exclusive Wine Pairing Dinner at MUNI ALAIN DUCASSE
Seven Iconic Wines, Including Rare Grand Crus, Gather for One Night Only in Arashiyama, Kyoto
MUNI KYOTO by Onko Chishin, a small luxury hotel nestled in Arashiyama, Kyoto (General Manager: Antoine Juhué), will host a one-night-only wine event at its signature restaurant, MUNI ALAIN DUCASSE, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. This special dinner is made possible through a partnership between AXA Millésimes and Ducasse Paris, bringing together rare cuvées from some of France’s most iconic wine estates. Guests will enjoy a curated pairing of seven wines with a seasonal course menu. Xavier Sanchez, Sales Director of AXA Millésimes, will join the evening and share his deep passion and philosophy for wine.
Event Highlights
1. A Rare Lineup of Iconic Wines, Unavailable in Japan

mong the offerings, the 2015 Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru crafted by Domaine de l’Arlot stands out as a centerpiece. Nestled beside the legendary Romanée-Conti vineyard in Vosne-Romanée, this revered Grand Cru is known for its elegance and complexity. The wine reveals aromas of red fruit, fine spices, and a silky, refined texture—a true expression of Pinot Noir at its most graceful. This highly coveted cuvée is rarely seen in Japan and is being served on this occasion as the event’s pinnacle.

Also featured is the 2022 Vieilles Vignes Grand Vin Blanc Sec—a dry white wine crafted by Château Suduiraut, a house globally renowned for its sweet Sauternes. As a bold departure from tradition, this wine represents a compelling new direction for the historic estate.
2. Meet Xavier Sanchez of AXA Millésimes
Xavier Sanchez, Sales Director of AXA Millésimes, will participate in the event, offering guests the unique opportunity to engage with one of the industry’s leading voices in fine wine and terroir philosophy.
3. Pairings with the Finest Japanese Ingredients
